Joyce Marlene Reed

Marlene was a past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the East Gate Chapter #367, and a member of the Leawood United Methodist Church.

Marlene is survived by her husband Charles Reed of Kansas City, her daughter Gail Danley of Blue Springs, Missouri, and her sons Kenneth (Kathy) Simmons and Larry (Denisa) Simmons of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; Her mother Inez “Big Mama” Hall (age 107) of LaGrange, Georgia; and sisters Glenda Cummings of LaGrange, Georgia and Peggy Corley of Columbus, Georgia; her grandchildren Renee, Ryan, Sam, Mackenzie, Shannon, Andrea, and Bryan; and her four great-grandchildren Riley, Abigail, Kaden, and Harper, with two more on the way.

A Visitation will be held from 2:00pm to 2:30pm, Funeral Service at 2:30pm on Wednesday, August 29 at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Interment in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
