

Juan G. Meneses, September 23, 1928 – March 4, 2023, Kansas City, MO, died peacefully surrounded by family at his home. Born in Pachuca, Hidalgo Mexico and met his wife, Virginia Paz Mendoza, who he was married to for 74 glorious years and had 8-children, 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.
He retired from Santa Fe Railroad where he worked as a carman for 22 years. He was known by family and friends for his love for dancing and enjoyed putting a smile on everyone’s faces. Juan was devoted to his family and enjoyed volunteering at The Catholic Charities, Overland Park, KS.
In addition to being survived by his wife, Virginia, and children, Manuel (deceased), Estela Paz, Guillermo (spouse Kim), Mario (spouse Rachel), John (spouse Hayde), Miguel (spouse Maria Teresa), Alicia and Susana (spouse Robert Torres); 14 grandchildren, Christopher, Lisa, Eric, Maria, Elizabeth, Alayna, Adriana, Austin, Dominic, Jason, Kaetlyn, Fiona, Alex and Micaela; great-grandchildren, Esteban, Sofia, Gabriel, Henry, Daisy, Dominic Jr. and Ruben.
Juan will be missed by his family and friends and will be taken to the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Lenexa, KS for his final resting place.
A visitation for Juan will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 Northeast Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO 64119. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help-Redemptorist Catholic Church, 3333 Broadway Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64111.
