Juanita Francisca Cedillo passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the age of 50, when God called her home. She was born in Kansas City, MO on October 30, 1973 to Juan Cedillo of McAllen, TX and the late Vickie Lee Bryant of Kansas City, MO.
Juanita loved taking care of the elderly in nursing for most of her life. She was the president of two civil rights organizations and was known for the peace and comfortability she brought to everyone. She enjoyed horror films, videogames on her phone, and being outdoors. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Her grandchildren will always remember their Abuela. You would catch Juanita listening to her Christian music, classic rock, and the 80’s. She embraced her heritage and loved God more than anything.
Juanita was loved by anyone who met her. She brought so much joy and light into many lives. She always knew what to say when we all needed to hear it the most. She never wanted to see others suffer no matter the reason and would drop tears anytime someone did. Many times, she cried tears of joy reflecting on how much God has blessed her and her family.
Juanita is preceded in death by her mother, Vickie Bryant; grandmother, Donna Hobbs; Abuelo, Pedro Cedillo and Abuela, Francisca Cedillo. She is survived by her father, Juan Cedillo; her sisters, Veronica Cedillo-Glasgow, Christina Garcia, Maria Victoria Cedillo, and Carlotta Cedillo-Martinez; her brother, Christopher Huddleston; her children, Alexandria Keyonna Cedillo, Juan Luis Anthony Cedillo, Deontre Joshua Cedillo, and KorinaSue Lea-net Cedillo; her grandchildren Mehlani and Quincie Mason, Analaya and Olivia Cedillo, Avery Bradley, and Yuliani Cedillo; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Juanita will be truly missed beyond what words can describe. May her light continue to shine through us all.
