My deepest sympathy to Juanita's children and family. You all are in my prayers and in my heart.
Juanita, or as I called her, Petey, was my dear friend. We met as neighbors living on the same block in Prairie Village while raising our young children. Petey was always there for me during this time of my life offering her friendship, advice, guidance and perms! As years passed, life got busy, our children grew, and we all had moved. However, later in life Petey and I reunited. We not only ended up in the same senior living apartment complex, but we also lived diagonally across the hall from each other. We had become neighbors again! As usual, Petey was there helping me transition into this new home and phase of my life. I will always be grateful to her and our friendship!

So sorry to see of Juanita's passing. My parents, Ralph and Jewell Schlicht, attended Zion Lutheran church with the Johnston's for many years. Jewell is still with us, and is 102 now. Mark Schlicht

So glad we got to help you celebrate your 💯th birthday. We were hoping for a bigger bash for your 105th. But God had better plans for you. We will miss you dearly. Thanks for the wonderful lessons & great memories over the years. Rest In Peace our dear “Classy Aunt Juanita”
