Judith A. Morrissey

Judith Ann (Judy) Morrissey, 68, Platte City, MO, passed away November 17, 2013 at Benton House of Shoal Creek. The Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 AM Wednesday, November 20th at St. Therese Catholic Church, burial in Mt. Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the McGilley Antioch Chapel where a rosary will be prayed at 7:00PM.

Judy was born February 1, 1945 in the District of Columbia but lived most of her life in the Kansas City area. She was a member of St Therese Catholic Church and former parishioner of St Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church and St Patrick Catholic Church. Judy loved reading and traveling with her husband, Larry, together visiting every state except Delaware. She especially loved spoiling her grandchildren Ryler, Arden, and Brogan. Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Still Higdon, and a dear friend, Fr. Linus Link, for whom she cared during the last 5 years of his life.

Additional survivors include her husband, Larry J. Morrissey; daughters, Beth Ann Sola and husband, Chris, and Dana Diane DeBuhr and husband, Eric; and brother, Lawrence Higdon.
