Judy was born March 17th, 1945 in Searcy Arkansas, the middle child to Robert and Nettie Lucille Rayburn. Judy moved with her family to Kansas City, Missouri when she was 8 years old; where she attended George B Longan and Westport High Schools.
Judy only had three jobs in her lifetime. Her first was United Products of Kansas City, her second was Betty Rose and final was at Bendix, Allied Signal, Honeywell Department of Defence Plant on Bannister in Kansas City, Missouri. Judy was a member of the IAM Local 778, and continued with being active with the retirees group. She retired after 32 years at the Aerospace plant.
Judy loved dirt track racing, and asphalt once the local tracks converted. She and Bill were great fans of some of the best racing teams in the Missouri and Kansas area. Judy loved auto racing, Chiefs football and Royals baseball.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Billy Lee Barnett, parents Gene and ‘Scrap’ Rayburn, sister Patsy and brother in-law, Al Shockley, brother Tom and sister-in-law, Rita Rayburn. She is survived by her daughter Renee (Tom) Cartwright, granddaughters Hope (Trent) Fowler, Erin (Vito) Mannino, grandson, Casey Cartwright, and great grandchildren, Everleigh and Easton Fowler, many nieces and nephews, the Pence Family, as well as many cousins.
After her retirement, Judy spent time with her husband and their granddaughters. She enjoyed traveling to Florida, going to the casinos and spending times with her friends.

A Funeral Service will follow at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131, on September 19, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
A Committal Service will take place at Mount Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131,on September 19, 2026, from 11:30 am to 11:45 am.
