Julia Lee Haight

Julie Lee (Jones) Haight, 82, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away peacefully surrounded by family November 23rd 2025. She was born October 4th, 1943, in Independence, Mo. She was the oldest child of Clyde Harrison Jones and Lucy Lee (Utley) Jones.

Julia is survived by her husband Fredrick (Fred) W. Haight, her daughter and son-in-law Carla J. (Haight) Dobbins (Tim), her son Darren E. Haight, her grandson Weston B. Haight, her granddaughter Andi N. Haight, her sister and brother-in-law Jean L Holcomb (Rick), her brother and sister-in-law Clyde E Jones (Gail), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Julia graduated from East High School Kansas City, MO in 1961. During her time there she was active in all of the choral groups. In 1964, she received an Associate of Business degree from the Junior College of Kansas City, MO.

She was employed as an Executive Assistant by AT&T, The Vendo Co, Lockheed Electronics, and retired from Kansas City Power and Light after 28 years of service.

Julia enjoyed travel and family, putting her faith and family first. She attended Abundant Life Church, Lee’s Summit. One of her favorite bible verses was Proverbs 3: 5-6 “Trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.”

A memorial service was held at Floral Hills Funeral Home in Raytown, MO on December 2nd, 2025, with burial at Floral Hills East Cemetery.
