Julie was developmentally disabled from birth and lived at home with her parents. After the death of her mother in 1993, Julie lived in several group homes in the Kansas City area. She attended Nova, a day program, for many years, which she enjoyed. Julie loved her dolls, especially Charlie McCarthy, Barbie and Ken and Raggedy Ann/Andy. The staff at her group homes all loved Julie and enjoyed her funny sense of humor. She had the gift of making people feel loved and welcome. There was always excitement and laughter when Julie was present. Every summer Julie attended Camp Wonderland which she enjoyed. Julie will be missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.
Julie is survived by her older sister, Patricia M. Francis Campbell, brother-in –law, Thomas G. Campbell, Kelly Anne Campbell, niece and Warren Reed Campbell, nephew and three grand nieces, Cora Maizy Fritz, Lilianna Grace Campbell and Hailey Francis Campbell.
A funeral service for Julie will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 11:00 am at Visitation Parish, 5141 Main Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64112 with a light reception to follow at the Church. Private burial of ashes at Mt Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131.
