

Julie was born and raised in the Kansas City area, where she built a life filled with faith, laughter, and lasting friendships. She was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and steadfast devotion to those she loved.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Joe Senay of Grain Valley, MO; her stepdaughter, Rachel Senay of Olathe, KS; her brother-in-law, Doug Senay (Diane) of Overland Park, KS; and her brothers, Nick Trusler (Roxanne Haefner) of Mountain View, MO, Danny Trusler (Jane Rowland), and Greg Trusler (Teresa) of Raytown, MO. She is also survived by her nephew, Jason Trusler, and her niece, Crystal Levsen (Brett); as well as her step-nephews, Michael Sherrill (Anette) and Frank Wallace (Maria), and her step-niece, Christina Wallace.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Mary Trusler; her parents-in-law, Peter and Donna Ray Senay; her brother, Ron Trusler; her sister-in-law, Karen Trusler; and her grandparents, Slick and Poe Trusler and Dayton and Margaret Simmons.
Julie had a passion for life’s simple joys. She loved swimming, water skiing at the lake, gardening, listening to music, and caring for her beloved cats. She also cherished her many lifelong friends, who brought light and laughter to her life.
Her faith in Jesus Christ was her greatest source of strength. Julie’s unwavering commitment to God guided her through every season, and her gentle presence touched all who knew her.
A visitation will be held at Newcomer’s Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO, 64133 on Friday, November 14, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A private inurnment for close family and friends will follow on Saturday, November 15, at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Julie’s family and friends take comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the arms of her Savior.
