4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Corinthians 13:4-5
She lived by these words by being patient and kind to everyone she knew. And always putting others before herself.
She married James Deibel on August 29, 1968, and had two daughters Christi and Kim.
June was a home economics teacher and worked at TG&Y in the evenings just so she could ‘just be around adult conversation’. After having children- she, her sisters and her mother would have impressive garage and craft sales that people would travel from around the metro to the sales.
In February 1982 June helped Jim start his own construction company- Deibel Construction. She worked tirelessly to help establish the company while tending to the needs of their young daughters- yet you would never hear her complain about anything. She regularly volunteered at the girls’ school and taught weekday Bible studies to the younger children at their church.
June loved spending time with her family, helping at different events. She was often found coordinating and helping at the Lord of Life Garage Sale at their church. She loved to give of her time to help others as much as she could.
June was a member of the Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Leawood, Kansas.
She is survived by their two daughters- Christi (Victor) Kurtz of Peculiar, MO- Kim (Andy) Traub of Spring Hill, KS and 6 grandchildren, Kaitlyn Kurtz, Lauren Kurtz, Kyla Traub, Gabe Traub, Hayden Kurtz and Christian Kurtz.
She was preceded in death by Jim Deibel and her parents Orville and Ruth Stillwell, brother Orville Lee and one granddaughter- Angel Kasmira Marie Kurtz.
