Justin John Houston

Justin John Houston, 49, passed away on November 6th, 2025. Visitation will be held November 13th, at Newcomer Floral Hills Funeral Home from 9:00am to 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, or any animal rescue of your choice.

Justin John Houston was born May 13th 1976 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was an involved son, father, brother, and friend to all.

Justin was a free, but hard working spirit who loved sports of all kinds, spending time with family and never taking life too seriously. He gave his full effort and drive into everything he did – which was landscaping and maintenance work. Justin loved the feeling of challenge and accomplishment, all while helping anyone he could. When it came to solving problems, he did so with positivity and a smile.

Justin was preceded in death by his brother Scott Houston, grandparents Junior and Doris Duncan, and Dorthy Houston.

He is survived by his wife Sonja Houston, parents Ellen(Rick) Morton, James (Carolyn) Houston, and children Anthony (AJ) Houston, Kaila Houston, and Nick Parker.

Justin will always be remembered for his laughter, empathy and kindness, for his ability to make friends everywhere he went. For the consistent love and devotion to his family. Justin will be remembered for the bright energy he always brought to the room. Justin will be missed by all.
