

Kail R. Sagehorn, 59 of Kansas City, MO died Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Kail was diagnosed with cancer this summer and was fighting valiantly when he died unexpectedly. Kail was born October 31, 1958 in Lamar, MO to Marvin and Betty Lou (Arft) Sagehorn. By virtue of his birthday, Kail’s dad gave him the nickname of “Spook”, which stayed with him all of his life. He grew up in Lamar and graduated from Lamar High School. He then attended Bauder Fashion College in Arlington, TX.; the only man in the school. Kail lived and worked in Sedona, AZ for a while before returning to Kansas City work at the Bristol as a Sous Chef and had worked at Hall’s for the last 15 years before his death. He will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor. Kail was preceded in death by his parents. Kail’s survivors include his friend and partner of 30 years, Matthew O’Mara of the home; two brothers, Brant and his wife Dixie Sagehorn, Kimberling City, MO and Kurt and Alice Sagehorn, Pittsburg, KS; and their family, nephew Kip and his wife Holly Sagehorn and great nephews Kearn and Alden, Pittsburg, KS, nephew Kort and Jamie Sagehorn, Oklahoma City, OK.
