Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Baker, her parents, Donilo and Alice Bokonich, and her brother, Steven Bokonich. She is survived by her son, Bradley, and wife Brandie Daniels, her daughter, Celine Daniels, three grandchildren, Breanna Johnson and husband Zach, Mikaylah Farrar, Marco Birl, one great-granddaughter, Adelie Johnson, and her three sisters, Judy Bokonich, Kristina Wilcoxon, and Sharon Cucchiara. Also by numerous other family-stepchildren and their families, cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and more-all of whom love her dearly and far too many to list.
Karen loved and adored each of her grandchildren and her great-granddaughter very much; she spent as much time as possible with all of them and they made her so proud. She really loved nature and all of the animals that frequented her yard dearly, especially the birds. She recently adopted her cat, Tiger after the passing of her husband Ron and Tiger brought her so much joy and comfort in her grieving. They really did rescue each other!
Karen had recently retired and was really enjoying herself. Previously she had worked at her family store, Dan Holiday Furniture for most of her career. Karen frequented Cancun, Mexico, at every opportunity she could. Karen has been on lots of cruises, family vacations and traveled all over the world. She always made so many friends wherever she went and was loved by all. She really loved to watch the Kansas City Chiefs and has thoroughly enjoyed watching them finally dominate in the NFL and was also a huge fan of Nascar.
Karen’s strong faith was also a very important part of her life and her beliefs ran deep to her core. She was born and baptized as a Lutheran. However she was currently in the process of converting to the Catholic Church with her husband, Ron Baker, before his passing.
Karen was always so full of life, she loved to laugh, and she really did have the best laugh! She was also incredibly feisty, always had so much fun and was typically the life of the party; she was such a great listener and genuine one of a kind friend.
