

She was born in Kansas City, Missouri, March 25, 1943. She was the third of four children born to William (Bill) Wright and Mary Theresa (Basile) Wright. She spent her life in the Kansas City area, graduating from Bishop Hogan High School in 1961. She took great pride in owning her own wallpaper hanging/interior design business, that she started after a divorce, to support herself and daughter. She remained in business for 25 years, before finally retiring in the early 2000’s. She spent the following years enjoying her friends and family. She was also a proud member of Beta Sigma Phi, a philanthropic/social sorority. She treasured the friendships and memories made within the sisterhood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Wright; her brothers, William R Wright Jr, Robert K Wright, and Joseph L Wright; husband, Normville A Smith; nephew, Brian S Wright; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends. They are all now together.
She is survived by her daughter Audra (Todd) Jackson, granddaughter Shelby Jackson, grandsons Jacob (Gabrielle) Jackson of Villisca, Iowa and Daniel (Hannah) Jackson of Lorimor, Iowa. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, “like family”, and treasured friends. She never knew a stranger and opened her heart to all.

A visitation will be from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, followed by a funeral service beginning at 10:30 am.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64138.
