Karina was born on September 2, 1984 to Greg and Sharon (Culbertson) Bolliger in North Kansas City, MO. After graduating from Olathe North High School in 2003, she went on to study Speech Language Pathology at the University of Kansas.
After graduating with her master’s degree, she moved to New York City and then Los Angeles before returning home and setting down roots in Olathe, KS. She was fortunate to work for the Olathe School District for ten years as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Working with children was Karina’s calling in life. One that she pursued with joy and passion.
In October of 2011, she met Pierre Quail while attending Blue Valley Baptist Church. What started out as friendship eventually became more and they were wed in April of 2013. They went on to have two children, Sawyer Austin (3) and Landon Oliver (1). Karina dedicated her life to being a fantastic wife and wonderful mother. She took no greater joy than when in the company of family, especially while caring for her boys. Even when fighting battles of her own, her top priority was the wellbeing of her children and husband. The greatest joy of her life was the family they created together.
Karina was preceded in death by her first husband, Oluwafemi Morohunfola, and her aunt, Chris Bolliger. She is survived by her husband, Pierre Quail, sons, Sawyer and Landon, parents, Greg and Sharon Bolliger, sister, Melanie Webb, brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Lisa Bolliger, grandparents, Duane and Helen Bolliger, Merle and Janet Culbertson, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephews.
