Katherine “Kathy” Emma DeCesare, Overland Park, KS, passed away September 12, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospice House. Memorial visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 18, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke’s Hospice House, 3516 Summit St., Kansas City, MO 64111.
Kathy was a kind and gentle soul, loved by all who had the privilege to meet her (including puppies). She was preceded in death by her parents Byron and Illa McLain. She is survived by her husband Tom DeCesare; daughters Amanda and Allison DeCesare; sister Trish and husband Dave Kenyon; brother Bob and wife Mary McLain; and several remarkable nieces and nephews.
