Kathy was born on April 14, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY. She was the youngest of two children born to Albert and Anna (Stone) Magee.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 50 years, Frank; son Chris and his wife Amber; three grandchildren, Collin, Camden and Ava; sister, Eileen Gregg; sister-in-law, Antoinette Pezzillo; nieces Denise Pecorino, Jeanie Rivera, Virginia Gregg, Cathy Ann Acevedo, Pat Goldberg and RoseAnn Frank; nephews Michael Forino, Frank Forino and Joseph Pezzillo. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters-in-law Anna Carucci and Marie Forino.
Kathy was the life of any party. Her personality was larger than life, and people were drawn to her sense of humor. She never met a stranger and treated everyone she met as a friend. Kathy was an amazing cook, famously known for her vodka pasta. To this day, no one has yet to recreate her recipe quite like she could. She was the source of support, strength and thoughtfulness for the entire family.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Overland Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Lenexa.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to the American Diabetes Association in her name.
