Kathleen Louise Shephard, 89, Independence, Missouri, passed away March 13, 2012. Per her request, private family services with inurnment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Keystone Conclave #25, Order of True Kindred, 3301 E 187th Street, Belton, Missouri 64012. Kathleen was born August 2, 1922 in Omaha, Nebraska. She worked as a realtor in the Kansas City area. Mrs. Shephard was a member of Keystone Conclave #25, Order of True Kindred serving as a Past Worthy Commander of Missouri. She was also a member of the Blue Valley Eastern Star serving as a Past Matron and Grand Officer. Mrs. Shephard volunteered at numerous organizations in Kansas City. She was preceded in death by her husband R.J. Shephard and one brother. Survivors include her daughter Judy Lovell, daughter Brenda Feeney, son Bill Shephard, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one brother and one sister.
