

On Sunday, September 19, 2021, Kay Arlene (Yates) Hill, loving mother of four children, passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 79. Kay was born October 31, 1941 in Independence, MO., to Emerson and Georgia Yates and raised in Sugar Creek, MO., where she resided until her death.
She graduated from William Chrisman High School om 1959. She married her high school sweetheart, Paul R Hill, and raised four children: Jerry, Rob, Dylan and Jami. Kay was always active in her church and served various positions on the Board of Directors for many years.
Kay loved to spend time with her family and friends but most of all her sister, Bertha, The two of them spent almost every day together often visiting the sick or disabled friends to share a laugh, and encouraging word or some homemade treats. She was a quiet woman unless she knew you well but she loved a great conversation, and delighted in hearing and telling funny stories about the children and grandchildren in her family.
Kay was preceded in death by her Mother: Georgia, Father: Emerson, Brother: Jon, Sister: Bertha, Son: Jerry and Husband: Paul. She is survived by her three children: Rob, Dylan and Jami, sisters: G.G. and Cindy, as well as five grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
She will be sorely missed by all the friends and family who loved her. In her last few months, she was provided with loving care from Crossroads Hospice for which her family is truly thankful.
