Ken was born in Kansas City, MO, March 12, 1965, a lifelong resident of the area. He graduated in 1983 from Center High School of Kansas City, MO.
Ken’s life was filled with love of family, Kansas City Chiefs, pets and hosting many KC Chiefs Football parties. He enjoyed mentoring automotive technicians. He was the family go-to person for car issues and questions. His entrepreneur spirit shined with businesses he started such as Ken’s GPS & Gadgets, LLC and Stressed Auto Finish Plus, LLC. Quick to tell a story or share an experience with incredible detail was his trademark.
He was married to the love of his life, Sharon King, August 4, 1990.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Donna Dessert and sister, Lisa Ann. He is survived by his wife Sharon, two stepsons Michael (Rachel) Baldwin City, KS and Steven (Beth) Carlyle, KS, brothers Cris (Debra) Riverside, MO, Russell (Tammy) KC, MO, sister Linda Rogers (Steve) Olathe, KS and sister-in-law Sheila Calkins (Steve) Magnolia, TX; grandchildren Michael Jr, Caleb, Colby, Jacob and Alaina and many nephews, nieces and friends.
