Kenneth Arnold Doyle

Ken A. Doyle, 91, went home to his final resting place in Heaven on January 9, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial 11am Wed., Jan 14, 2015 at Our Lady of the Presentation, 130 NW Murray Rd., Lee’s Summit, with visitation one hour prior. Burial following in Floral Hills East Cemetery.

Ken was born June 30, 1923 in Parkville, MO to James & Maggie Doyle. He had 6 brothers & 2 sisters; all but 1 brother preceded him in death. He was an amazing Irishman that enjoyed watching Westerns, John Wayne & riding his John Deere Tractor. Ken was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater. He resided in Lebanon, TN with his daughter and son-in-law, Debbie & Bob Gash until he recently moved to Hearthside Assisted Living.

Ken was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years in May of 1994, Betty Jean Doyle. He is survived by their 4 wonderful children, Barbara Bassett (John), Debbie Gash (Bob), Kim Desmond (Bob) & Kevin Doyle (Jan); 10 grandchildren, Tina Ranney, Kenny Bassett, Bobby Desmond, Andrew Bassett, Tiffany Gash, Candi Ives, Kyle Doyle, Aaron Bassett, Sean Doyle, & Colleen Fresquez and 8 great grandchildren with one on the way. They all have great memories to keep in their hearts.

In lieu of flowers family request memorial donations in Ken’s name to the March of Dimes, 4400 College Blvd., Suite 180, OPKS, 66210 as two of his great grandchildren were born prematurely.
