
A native of Kansas City, Kenneth graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Journalism in 1968 and was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Following graduation, Kenneth served as a first lieutenant the United States Army and was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War. Kenneth then embarked on a successful career with Mobil Oil which ended when he decided to return to Kansas City and take over the family business, Fry's Car Care, from his father. Under his leadership the family business thrived and is now in the hands of a third generation.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 48 years, Karen, his son Blake and his wife Michele, his daughter Donika and her husband Adam, grandchildren Abigail, Brady, Liam, and Tate, sister Claudia and husband Jack, sister Peggy and husband Bill, brother Jack and wife Nathalie, and sister-in-law Kathy and husband Steve.
Kenneth will be buried in a private family ceremony on Thursday, November 2 at Leavenworth National Cemetery. A celebration of his life will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, November 5 at the Lodge at Ironwoods (14701 Mission Road, Leawood, KS).
