Kenneth (Pete) Hanson, 83, passed away peacefully with family at his side on June 1, 2012. Kenneth was born on March 30, 1929 at Kansas City, MO. He was the third son of eight sons and two daughters, born to Eliza Masoner Hanson and Clifford Vernon Hanson. Kenneth attended schools in Manhattan, KS, Leonardville, KS and Clay Center, KS. He was a Korean War veteran, serving in the U.S. Army as a Paratrooper. After eight years of service he returned to civilian life in 1958 and became an accomplished upholsterer, owning his own business. In 1975 Kenneth and Patricia Booth were joined in marriage, and Kenneth became a stepfather to Brad Booth. Sadly Patricia passed away in November 2007. He is survived by his son Brad and his companion Nikki Sixta; brother Robert Hanson and wife Joyce; sister Joan Hanson Doherty and husband Bill; sisters-in-law Kay, LaVetta and Darlene; extended family and friends.
