

Kenneth Wayne Marx, age 74 of Prairie Village, KS passed away on November 7, 2021. Kenny was born on December 22, 1946 to John F. Marx Sr. and Mildred Marx. As a child he attended Guardian Angels Grade School. He graduated from Rockhurst High School and Rockhurst College. He married his childhood sweetheart Judith A. Nelson. He was a hard worker starting at a young age growing up being a caddy at Milburn Country Club where he became a long-term member. He got his professional start at Alton Box Company while still in college. He was nicknamed “Boxie” for his packaging innovations. He then joined D. Thomas and Associates where he enjoyed a 40-year career and was a partner until retirement in 2019. Kenny and Judy enjoyed the last 20 years spending weekends at their lake house in Lake Viking, MO with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Judy, and daughter Kimberly. He is survived by his brother John Marx Jr. (Cathy), and his sons Kenny (Julie) and Eddie (Katie). He was adored by his grandchildren: Trey, Victoria, Charlie, George, Tommy, Jack and Patrick. His family will always remember Kenny as the funniest person in the room and who always put others before himself.
Visitation will be from 9-10AM on Saturday, November 13, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 7231 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS. Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 10AM.
