He is survived by his beautiful wife of 59 years Mary “Toots” Creech, his daughters Diane (Don) Day, Jennifer (Kevin) Magee, Grandchildren Matthew (Brianne) Day, Sean Day, Alyssa (Scott) Bredvold, Cory Kurzweil, his brother Bill Johnson and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
He proudly served his country for 12 years in the Air Force and is a Vietnam veteran. He was a retired police sergeant for the Kansas City Missouri Police Department for 28 years.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m., Thursday, June 11, 2020 at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 8001 Longview Road, Kansas City, MO with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Military Honors.
