

Ken was born March 21, 1942 to Felix and Margaret Wasco in Superior, Wisconsin. He graduated from Superior Central High School in 1960. He married his high school sweetheart Faye Kathleen Marion of Duluth Minnesota in 1963 and enjoyed 60 years of a strong, happy marriage.
Ken graduated from Longview Community College with an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Park College and his Masters in Business from Central Michigan University.
Ken served as a Sergeant in the Minnesota Air National Guard from 1962 to 1970 and Missouri Air National Guard from 1970 to 1972. He retired after 30 years at AT&T’s National Consumer Acquisition Center in Lees Summit,MO After retirement he found a new career and worked for the Raytown School district for over 20 years as a substitute teacher.
Ken enjoyed vacationing in the summer with his family at their cabin in Iron River, WI, where he enjoyed fly fishing, sailboating and working on many projects. was an avid bicyclist and a Scout Leader for Boy Scout Troop 469 with his two sons Steve and Brian. He was an honorary warrior with the tribe of Mic-O-Say “Straight Running Deer”.
He is preceded in death by his wife Faye of 60 years, and his parents Felix and Margaret Wasco (Turoski), stepfather Joe Turoski. He is survived by his three children Judy (Greg), Steven (Debbie), Brian and four grandchildren, Brandon, Marissa, Melody and Savannah and two sisters Joan and Nancy. His final resting place will be in Iron River,Cemetery, Iron River, WI.
A Celebration of life will be held for Ken on Wednesday August 30, 2023 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church, 6429 Blue Ridge Blvd. Raytown, MO 64133.
