Kerry Lynn Farris

Kerry Lynn Farris, 60, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Visitation will be held at 11:00 on Friday, September 8 at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 12:00pm at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Kerry was born on July 27, 1957 in Sugar Creek, MO to Nancy (Willoughby) and John Keithley, both of whom proceeded her in death. Kerry is survived by her brothers John Goldsmith (Napoleon), Marc (Doreen) Goldsmith (Boonville) and Richard (Kristina) Keithley (Ardmore, OK) as well as her sisters Robin (Tim) Wahlberg (Columbia) and Jennifer (Gene) West (Durant, OK). Kerry was united in marriage to her best friend, Patrick, on June 14, 1975. To this union four children were born, Jennifer (Lucas) Aiken (Blue Springs), Allison (Matt) Thurman (Warsaw), Daniel (Kimberly) Farris (Liberty), and Robert Farris (Independence). She will forever live on as beloved Gram to her six grandchildren, Maeghan, Cody, Trevor, Kylie, Will, and Norah and her great-grandson, Emmit. Kerry spent her life taking care of everyone, from her family to her patients, to the numerous children that stayed at her home when they had nowhere else to go. She was undoubtedly one of the best people to grace this world and loved unconditionally. We are better people for having known her and are blessed to have had her play such a key role in our lives. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Children’s Mercy Hospital or the American Kidney Foundation.
