Kevin Patrick Shannon

Kevin Patrick Shannon, 61, Kansas City, Missouri passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, November 23 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church located at 13615 West 92nd Street Lenexa, Kansas 66215. Visitation is from 9:30-11:00, Mass at 11:00.

Kevin was born May 1, 1957 in Kansas City, Missouri to Robert and Patricia Shannon. Kevin attended Southwest High School and joined the United States Air Force completing four years of active military service. Early in his career Kevin founded Shannon Associates design firm where he specialized in the grocery retail industry and was recently employed with the Target Corporation. Kevin married Erin Walsh on November 20, 2007 and they enjoyed a wonderful home with their dog Sadie. His true passion was nurturing his vegetable garden and delivering the most amazing tomatoes to family, friends and neighbors. Kevin was also a fan of all things Kansas City related but baseball and the Royals were on the top of the list. Kevin was preceded in death by his father Robert, and his brothers Greg and Jim.

Kevin is survived by his wife Erin, mother Patricia, and sisters, Susan Riederer (Paul), Nancy Allen (Vaughn), Mary Ann Shannon, sister in law Lisa Shannon Cuff, brothers, Dan (Shelly), Bob (Leigh), and many nieces and nephews who will dearly miss “Uncle Kev”.

The family so greatly appreciated the loving care Kevin received at Research Medical Center and Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care.
