Kim graduated from Truman High School in Independence, MO, then pursued a secondary education in nursing from Sanford Brown College in Kansas City, MO. She worked as a nurse for 27 years. Countless patients and their families have been touched with her kindness and caring because of her devotion to her profession.
Kim and her late husband Danny enjoyed many travels together throughout the country, but especially enjoyed their canoe trips on the river with their dogs, often camping on the river. Kim was a devoted wife to the love of her life for over 25 years.
Kim was a loving daughter, aunt, sister, and pet owner. She loved her fur babies and pampered them like they were royalty. She was a person you could count on for help with anything you needed, even when you didn’t know you needed it. She was a quiet person who spoke volumes by the way she treated people with thoughtfulness and kindness. She put other people’s needs and wants before her own time after time. She had the utmost integrity, always doing what was right.
Kim had many interests, but one of her favorites was following the Kansas City Royals. She was in the stands for opening day for more than 20 years and attended many, many games. Her favorite player was Alex Gordon, but she was very knowledgeable about the team as a whole. She also enjoyed following the Kansas City Chiefs and attended their games, as well. She was a supporter of anything “Kansas City,” often lending her support to local growers and artisans.
Kim will be terribly missed by family and friends alike. Our lives have been touched by her faithfulness, her generosity, and her caring spirit. Our lives are better for having had her in them and they will not be the same with her gone. We will think of her often with a smile on our face and a laugh on our lips, knowing that one day we will be reunited and our family will be whole again.
Kim was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel P. Gorman; her father, John A. Wolf, Sr.; her brother, David Webb and her fur babies, Maddie and Moses. Kim is survived by her mother, Edna Wolf of Polo, MO; her brother, John A. Wolf, Jr. of Clinton, AR; her sister, Christine Armstrong (Aaron) of Independence, MO; her sister, Sharon Lauderdale of Tonganoxie, KS; her brother, Mark Webb (Lori) of Lexington, MO; her brother, Howard Wolf (Wendy) of Polo, MO; her fur baby, Grace and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Kim has requested donations be made to Wayside Waifs or a different no kill animal shelter of your choice.
