He was born July 27, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri, to Hilmer and Helga (Johanson) Anderson who had immigrated from Sweden. Kurt married Carolyn Boldt in 1971.
He was a dedicated Christian who volunteered as a mentor in M2W2, a prison ministry, and as a trustee at Broadway Baptist Church in Kansas City. Kurt also enjoyed volunteering with the National Kidney Foundation and was a member of Team Mo-Kan in the Transplant Games of America. In addition to his selflessness, Kurt will be missed for his friendship, compassion, and kindness.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, and his sister, Sig-Britt Hughes of McPherson, Kansas. He also leaves behind twin sons, Karl (Jammie) and Kris (Kristin), and four grandchildren.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 9:30 - 10:30 am followed by a Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer and Freeman Funeral Home,10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131.
Committal of ashes will follow the Memorial Service at Mount Moriah Cemetery South.
