Kurt was born in Spokane, WA and passed away in Kansas City, MO of natural causes. He is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Jo Satterwhite. He is survived by his father, William F Peugh, and stepmother, Sara of Arizona, and family; brother, Scott Pogh of Montana and sister in law, Kathy, nieces and nephew, Shannon, Breann and Justin. Kurt grew up in New Mexico where he attended school and graduated with an accounting degree. He enjoyed the outdoors and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He later moved to the Kansas City area, where he resided for the duration of his life. He enjoyed the city and all it had to offer culturally, artistically, and aesthetically including its wide variety of cuisine.
He loved his family and friends, and established close friendships that were dear to his heart. Always soft spoken and humble in his demeanor, he was a loyal, dependable and supportive friend. He lived in the moment and gave his best to those he loved.
His heart was always in the right place. He was unassuming and accepting of all people. The world was a better place for his kindness and gentle spirit.
He loved to travel, and was so thankful for the experience of escorting his mom to Africa before her passing. He had such fond memories of that trip with her, and enjoyed sharing them with family. Kurt had a dry sense of humor and those who knew him were familiar with his quick wit. He was quite impressive recalling trivia facts and history knowledge. He humbly touched the lives of those that knew him, and he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
“What the caterpillar calls the end, the butterfly calls the beginning”. Fly high Kurt, you have earned those wings.
