Kylie is a 2000 graduate of Blue Valley North High School, where she was voted Class Clown. Kylie graduated from Kansas State University in 2004, where she was a member of Tri Delta Sorority. While she thought a career in hotel and restaurant management was her passion, Kylie ultimately found her calling in nursing. She received her RN from Scottsdale Community College, worked with high-risk pregnancies and later vision surgery. Kylie’s work did not define her. She loved life, had an incredible sense of humor, and brought joy to those around her, even her imaginary boyfriend of many years, George Glass. She had the gift of making everyone around her feel like they could be their genuine selves. She was a loyal friend, and maintained strong friendships with several people for over 30 years. Kylie felt strongly about her faith and was confirmed into the Catholic Church as an adult. She met her husband, Billy, in 2021, where he was mesmerized by her beautiful blue eyes and glowing personality. They were engaged six months later. In 2022, Kylie married the love of her life, Billy, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Kylie and Billy enjoyed three years of marriage, which were the best years of Kylie’s life. Whether it be on a beach, around the kitchen island, or on a private plane, she loved spending time with friends and families. She never spoke ill of anyone and had no enemies. She truly believed that corks are for quitters and lived life to the fullest. She was a sweet, patient, kind, compassionate and thoughtful wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. She enjoyed traveling but found the most joy in spending time with her son, Val, and seeing his first smile, first laugh and first steps.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 20th followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at Curé of Ars Catholic Church, officiated by Father Richard Storey. Kylie was a bright, vibrant, and colorful person. We encourage attendees to dress as she would to celebrate her life. A reception for friends and family will follow at Hallbrook Country Club, the location of Billy and Kylie’s engagement. Memorial donations can be made in Kylie’s name to Children’s Mercy Hospital.
