

Laura “Lori” Edwards passed away at her home in Kansas City, Missouri surrounded by her immediate family on December 9, 2021. She was born on October 25, 1961 in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from Cor Jesu Academy in south St. Louis County in 1980. Lori received a Nursing Diploma from the Jewish Hospital School of Nursing and received a Bachelor’s degree from Webster University. She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years for the Barnes-Jewish Hospital and the Washington University School of Medicine systems.
Lori was active in her children’s lives by volunteering at the local public schools and cheering at hundreds of baseball, softball, and soccer games. Lori built loving relationships with her children’s friends throughout the years - often being referred to as "Momma Edwards." Lori was also very active in each neighborhood’s social network (Bunco, hosting parties, etc.). She never met a stranger and always knew how to make her friends feel loved. Her personality was truly one of a kind.
On April 5, 1986, she was united in marriage to PJ Roberge, Captain, USAF who preceded her in death on April 22, 1987. She was then united in marriage to Kevin Edwards on October 6, 1990. She is survived by her husband and their three children, Benjamin Edwards, Megan Edwards and Nicholas Edwards. Lori was also preceded in death by her parents, Judge Lawrence and Elizabeth Ehrhart, and one brother, Thomas Ehrhart. She is also survived by 5 siblings, Kevin Ehrhart, Larry Ehrhart, Jerry (Pam) Ehrhart, Tim (Leanne) Ehrhart and Mary (David) Owens and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends from across the country.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021, at the McGilley State Line Chapel at 12301 State Line Road in Kansas City, Missouri from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at the Wesley Chapel located on the Church of the Resurrection campus at 13720 Roe Avenue, Leawood, Kansas at 9:30 am on Saturday, December 18, 2021, followed by interment at Mt. Moriah Cemetery at 10507 Holmes Road in Kansas City, Missouri. A luncheon will follow at Pinstripes at 13500 Nall Avenue in Overland Park, Kansas.
