Leona Berene Ochs

Always the planner, she left us exactly the way she intended - quietly and in her sleep. She led a full wonderful life! Her love for nature dominated her whole life. She loved fishing, hiking, bird-watching and gardening. Volunteering was so important to her. She served the Girl Scouts for many years and was a lifelong volunteer at her neighborhood school Warford Elementary. The staff at Warford honored her many times for her contributions. She was a loving and caring mother and we will all miss her very much.

Leona leaves behind four children, Diane Daldrup (Myron), Linda Londo (Fayne Knobbe), Jeffery Ochs and Steven Ochs. She has four grandchildren, Stacy Zeigler (Christian Fisher), Shannon Martin (Todd), Cody Londo (Paige) and Cassandra Daldrup as well as six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Two more babies are on the way!

The family will have a private graveside service at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Kansas City. In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to the Warford Elementary School Library (816-316-8150) or the Wayside Waifs Animal Shelter (816-986-4410).
