
Leonora Valdivia, 93, Kansas City, Mo., died February 24, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital, surrounded by her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at Sacred Heart/Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 2544 Madison. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, KCK. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd., where the rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Leonora was born June 28, 1922, in Elgin, Texas, to Santos and Felicita (Lemos) Villalobos. In addition to raising 10 children, Leonora worked as the housekeeper for the residence at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and later at St. Mary's Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Octavaiano, son, Tony Valdivia and two daughters, Teresa Terrazas and Amalia Ramirez. Leonora's survivors include her seven children, David Villalobos (Beatrice), Mary Flores (Joseph), Guadalupe Collier (Ward), Irene Fernandez, Carlos Valdivia (Marlena), Jesusa Gallegos (Vincent), Alexandria Valdivia (Tasha); Gina Hernandez (Daniel); son-in-law Rudy Ramirez; brother, Ray Villalobos and sister, Soccorro Flores; 26 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.
