LeRoy Carl Kleinsorge "Roy"

1940 - 2022

LeRoy Carl Kleinsorge, better known as Roy, passed away at the age of 81 on April 19th, 2022 at 4:00pm. Ironically, it was the same day as his deceased Mother, Wilhelmine’s birthday. Roy was found in a neighbor’s lawn and help was not able to bring his pulse back. The cause of death is believed to be a stroke.

Roy served in the Marines with an honorable discharge and worked as a manager for over 30 years with AT&T. He touched hundreds of kids' lives through coaching baseball and loved being busy mowing, doing household chores, hiking trails and helping out whenever and wherever he could. He never left his wife’s side and enjoyed being with her 24/7 whether it was running to the store, grabbing a quick bite to eat or taking her to a hair appointment. He was always there for anyone, but most of all her. A couple of his proud moments were the formation of the Raymore Youth Athletic Association and summiting Longs Peak in 2010 when he was 70 years old.

Roy is survived by his wife of 60+ years, Shirley Kleinsorge. He had two sons, Dean and Eric. Dean passed away in 2003 and Eric currently resides in Texas with his wife Ashley. He is survived by 3 grandchildren, Ryan, Ashley, and Justin and two step grandchildren Sydney and Wesley. Roy has a sister, Betty Alexander of Missouri, and a brother Jerry Kleinsorge, who resides in Kansas

Services will be held at Newcomer’s Floral Hills Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 26th 2022. Viewing will be from 9:00am to 10:00am and Funeral services will follow at 10:00 to 10:45.
