I am grateful for the life of Mr. Klenklen .  Thanks to his service and to the service of others in our armed forces, my family and I have been able to lead our lives in freedom and peace.

I have known Vern & Mary Lou for 3 years. I enjoyed spending fridays ( Dinner Theatre at Sonny Salmons home) hearing Verns jokes.Vern always held Mary Lou's hand during movies and when they walked anywhere. You could tell how much they still loved each other after 60 years of marriage. He will be missed!

Thanks for your expertness in cutting this demanding customers hair ... You were a kind man who exhibited what service should be and is rare to find in todays business world. You provided world class service to your many customers over the years and for that I thank and salute you!!

Vern truly left a warm place in my heart. I met him at Guardian Angel's church and told him he reminded me of my dad "Vern" also. Always happy, always sweet, always full of love. Thank you God for letting me meet this wonderful man.  May his family be consoled and find peace at such a difficult time.

My heart goes out to the family of this dear man.  I have such fond memories of Vern and his barbershop in our old neighborhood.  Our family were  customers of his for many, many years.  My son received his "first haircut" at the shop.  Though we hadn't seen him for many years, he and Art attended my father's visitation last year.  I was touched that he would honor my dad even though they hadn't had much contact for a while.  I will hold you close in prayer as you go through this difficult time.

For Steve, and all of the wonderful Klenklen Family...I am sorry for your loss, what a great guy to have as a Dad, Husband, Grandfather, and all-around good person! My prayers will be with your family during this difficult time, God Bless you.

My sincere condolence to all of Vern's family. He attended my fathers funeral last year about this same time and I was so grateful! He gave me my first haircut about 55 years ago. He will be missed.

Vern was one of my favorite customers that came into Mark's pharmacy.  I loved to hear and see the love that he had for Mary Lou and his family. I didn't know Vern well but will sure miss seeing him at Guardian Angels. He was always a pleasant and considerate person. My sincere condolances to his wife and family at this time.

Two things I will always remember about Vern....the first of course was getting my hair cut from him and the second was going to the Kansas City Spa with my pop and him.  You were a good man Vern! Thanks for everything,  God bless.

His father gave me my first haircut age 3. He and Mary Lou enjoyed "Dinner Theater" with me, Chantelle and Cammie nearly every Friday night for the past 3-4 years. We saw a TV movie, had "Happy Hour" and a nice dinner. Most enjoyable was Vern's endless repertoire of stories and memories. We will miss him mightily!

Like his father before him, Uncle Vern will "live forever" in the hearts and memories of his family and friends. I have always felt honored to be named after my uncle.
