Lilia ‘Lili’ Martinez, passed away suddenly on March 20, 2021, at the age of 47. She was born to the late Maria Elena Tello and Jose Federico Aranda on April 4, 1973, in Los Angeles, California as the first of four children. Lili graduated from West Covina High School in 1991 and relocated to Kansas City, Missouri in 1996.
She married Daniel R. Martinez in 2000 and is survived by her husband, her two sons and granddaughter, Daniel Martinez Jr, Cruz A. Martinez, and Maya C. Martinez Ulloa.
Lili was known as a kind, caring, strong and fiercely loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. You could always count on her for anything - a good laugh, frank advice or a shoulder to lean on. A passion for cooking meant that she could often be found in the kitchen creating delicious meals and treats for her loved ones. She devoted her life to her family, working hard to give her sons a childhood filled with happy memories.
Due to COVID-19 safety precautions, the memorial service will be an intimate event for her family and close friends.
