Lillian Anna Mc Clure

July 30, 1927February 11, 2021

Lillian A. McClure, 93, was called to her eternal home on February 11, 2021 to be with her Lord and beloved husband, Francis Lee McClure. She was child number 8 of 11 born in Alma, Missouri to Oswald and Lydia Rolf. Alma was also the town where she met the love of her life, Francis Lee. They wed in 1947 and made their home in Independence, Missouri beginning in 1963. They were lifelong members of Messiah Lutheran Church in Independence, Missouri where Lillian served on the Altar Guild.

Upon Francis death, after 62 years of marriage, she continued to enjoy life with her family and friends until 2017 when she began living at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Concordia, Missouri until her death. Lillian worked 24 years at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City where she retired in 1988. A few years later she began selling Stanley products which she genuinely enjoyed. Lillian is preceded in death by her husband, parents and nine brothers and sisters. She leaves behind a son, Gary (Liz); grandson, Todd (Ginger); great granddaughter Georgia; brother, Donald Rolf (Dorothy) of Alma; sister-in-law, Lori Schall and many nephews and nieces.

Lillian especially enjoyed the many visits at the Nursing Home from her nephew, Mike Bredehoeft and his wife, Lavonne of Alma who many times cut her hair and did her nails, which she enjoyed tremendously. A special thank you to all the staff at Good Shepherd Nursing Home who were so gracious and caring of mom.

Burial to be held at the Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri. Donations, on behalf of Lillian, can be mailed to the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, 202 S. West Street, P.O. Box 849, Concordia, Missouri 64020. Condolences/remembrances to www.mcgilleysheil.com.
