Linda was born and raised in Sedalia, Missouri, where she fondly remembered her time spent on the farm with her Aunt Ester and siblings. She was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her brother, John Forster; her sister, Pat Wood; two daughters, Jo Anne Chastain and Ruth Duncan; son-in-law, Ken Duncan; five grandchildren; and two dozen great-grandchildren.
Professionally, Linda spent several years in banking before transitioning to a rewarding career in real estate, where she worked for over a decade. She also devoted ten years as the resident manager for the KU Ronald McDonald House, offering warmth and care to families in need.
In retirement, Linda found joy in spending time with her family, reading, and watching classic films. Above all, she was known for her loving nature, always telling her family that she loved them "oodles and oodles." Her infectious smile, laughter, and warm hugs will be missed dearly by all who were lucky enough to know her.
While her absence leaves a hole in our hearts, we take comfort in the knowledge that Linda is now surrounded by Jesus's peace and love.
A graveside memorial service for Linda will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Mount Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131.
