

Lloyd F. Brown, Jr., of Kansas City, MO was welcomed in to the loving arms of our Lord on Aug 23, 2018. Lloyd was born on May 28, 1931 in Paris, AR to Ava Dale and Lloyd Brown, Sr. He married his high school sweetheart, Florence (Flo) Ross on Aug 8, 1952. She survives him, along with his children, Denise (DJ) Jeselnik (Emanual Tidona) Lenexa, KS, Karen Brown, Kansas City, MO, David Brown (Cindy), Camden Point, MO, and grandchildren, Sarah, April and Tyler, and great-grandson, Corlin. Prior to his service in the Army, he received his BA in Economics from UMKC. He retired as CFO of Seaboard Corporation after 32 years of employment, having done auditing work prior to that. Lloyd was an Ordained Deacon, and at the time of his passing he was a member of First Baptist Church, KC, MO where he held the positions of Moderator, Deacon, Trustee and member of the Board of Finance. He was instrumental in the reformation of the Saturday morning Men’s Breakfast Bible study group and the Tuesday morning Bible Study group, and was also active in his Sunday School class, helping with the food pantry, driving the church van, and found great joy in serving in the church’s program of tutoring elementary school children. Lloyd enjoyed traveling, (especially to the Holy Land), playing golf, boating, fishing and woodworking, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and serving the Lord. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 28th at 6:00pm at First Baptist Church, 100 W Red Bridge Rd, Kansas City, MO 64114 with visitation and reception following. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to First Baptist Church or KC Hospice, 1500 Meadow Lake Pkwy, Ste 200, Kansas City, MO 64114.
