Lloyd Ernest Eggleston, 97, of Kansas City, MO passed away March 4, 2016. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m., Friday, March, 11, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer, and Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131. Interment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Lloyd was born March 6, 1918 in Ansley, NE to Garfield and Adaline (Zimmerman) Eggleston. Lloyd was a WWII Army veteran and a member of the Antioch Baptist Church.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife Deloris and son-in-law Gary Amerine. He is survived by daughters Shirley Amerine and Sharon Davis and her husband Darrel; grandchildren Kim Patel, Jason Amerine, and Alicia Amerine, and eight great grandchildren.
