Lloyd R. Ertle, 90, of Raytown, MO died April 3, 2012. Visitation will be Monday, April 9, from 11 am – 12 pm with services to follow at McGilley & Sheil Chapel, 11924 E. 47th St., KC, MO. Interment will be in Brooking Cemetery, Raytown, MO. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Noland Rd. Baptist Church, 4505 S. Noland Rd., Indep., MO 64055.
Lloyd was born to Ernest & Pearl on Feb. 23, 1922 in Leeds, MO. He also was born again through Jesus Christ in 1934. He drove a truck over the road for many years. He was a pilot in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant twin brother Floyd & brother Leo. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Helen Frances of the home; 2 children, Jan Shepherd of San Diego, CA & Nelson of Caseyville, IL; 2 grandchildren, Marichiel & husband Mitch of Elmira, NY & Dennis Ertle of Caseyville, IL; & 1 great-grandson, Quentin.
