Lloyd was an avid collector of all things, both large and small, he was an outdoorsman, liking both to hunt and to garden. He retired from the Norfolk and Southern Railway, and served our country in the United States Marine Corp from 1960-1968. Lloyd was married to Gloria (Wadlow) Ruble for 18 years. Lloyd could always be found with his loyal companion Patches.
Lloyd leaves behind his spouse of 40 years Katheryn Ruble, his 4 natural children and 2 stepchildren, Carrie and (Chuck) Jenkins, Polly and (Noel) Nuessle, Lee and (Mary) Ruble, Shaunna and (James) Hill, Karen Long (Bill Usher), and Kim and (Chuck) Schaedler, 11 grandchildren, Danielle and (Amanda) Parris, Laila Hassan Meyer, Faisal and (Yawen) Hassan, Jordan and (Sam) Sluder, Jahan and (Jason) Clark, Noel Oliver and (Hope) Nuessle, Eric Nuessle, Kate and (Hanna) McGivern, Alyssandria Ruble, Kadin Ruble, and Dominic Ruble, 10 great-grandchildren, Braden McVay, Joseph Mcdaniel, Jenna Clark, William and Serenity Meyer, Oliva and Savannah Sluder, Leiliya and Lillian Hassan, and Ashlynn Mae Nuessle, and with 2 brothers E L Ruble Jr, and William Ruble
Lloyd was predeceased by E L Ruble and Ethel Leona Mahin, Robert Ruble, Helen Hammond, Jean Ann Mallot, and Gary Long
A celebration visitation for Lloyd will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131, followed by full military honors at 4:00 pm.
