Lois was born September 2, 1948 in Mexico, Missouri and attended the Missouri School for the Deaf in Fulton, Missouri. She was a member of the Deaf Liberty Baptist Church. She was married to Benjamin Bearly for 36 years.
She was well known for her happy smiles and enjoyed playing cards. She always helped with special events when she could. The Chiefs and Royals were her favorites and she enjoyed cheering them on every time. She was known to tease people and watch for their reaction. Any task you gave Lois, she would try to learn and never complain. Lois loved animals. She loved her church and traveled with church members to conventions where she always wanted to help. Her spirit will always be present... She has met Jesus face to face. In her sadness, she has found eternal joy. She will always be happy.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Bearly and her parents Raymond Edelstein and Margaret Larkin Edelstein. Her sisters Gayle Valette and Margaret (Tootie) Valette also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sisters Nora Vella (John) and Stephanie L. Miller; niece, Melinda Scott (Jason); nephews, Nick Vella (Ashley) and Stephen Gibbs of St. Joseph, Missouri; and many friends and family members.
