

Lois Jean Kinnaw was born on October 13, 1929 to Darwin and Mary Gertz in Davenport, Iowa. Lois was married to her high school sweetheart, Bill, for 67 years; they were devoted to each other. Lois and Bill worked together in their company, Village Real Estate, where she was an agent and he was the broker in charge. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Everyone who met Lois loved her. She lived her life with grace and kindness.
Lois was always involved in her daughters’ activities and took great pleasure in leading their Brownie, Bluebird, and Campfire Girl troops. She took a leadership role in the Santa Fe Trail PTA and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Lois and Bill were faithful servants of the Lord. She was committed to her daily devotions and prayer list, praying for loved ones and strangers alike. She was a long standing member of Roland Park UMC for over 50 years, and willingly served as a Sunday School teacher and VBS leader.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Darwin and Mary Gertz. She is survived by her husband Bill; daughters Sally Vannaman (Rick), Sharon Olive (Dave), and Sandi Morgan (Todd); grandchildren Joe, Josh, Jake, Sarah (Clint), Jonathan (Molly), Jeremy, and T.J.; great grandsons Hyas and Ole; sister Betty Ann Turley; sister in-law Mary Kinnaw; as well as her nieces and nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be held 2-3pm Wednesday, December 27, at Church of the Resurrection, Wesley Chapel 13720 Roe Blvd, Leawood, KS 66224. A service will follow.
