Dear Chris and Billy,
My heart is heavy after hearing from Donna Hotard.  I went
to see your Mother in Independence several years ago and
took lunch to the nursing home.  I can surely "ditto" Harry's
wonderful tribute.  I will miss Lois.  We got into so much
devilment in the 50's and had so much fun doing and
laughing ourselves silly.  I knew your Dad, too.  He was
definitely the love of her life!  My thoughts and prayers
are with you.

Chris and family, we are so sorry for your earthly loss of your dear mother, and praying for Holy Spirit comfort for you all.  Lifting you in prayer to the God of all peace and comfort.

My condolences to your family during this time of grief.

I want to extend my sincere condolences to Chris and Bill Townsend for the profound loss of your mother Lois.  I am 1 yr older than Lois and we both attended Jr. High and High School together in the 50's.  If you have ever wondered if there really was a Cornor Drug Store with soda fountains & bar stools, I can tell you that there was.  Every day after school our group would go to the drug store and hangout.  Lois was in our group. We also had parties on Fri. & Sat. nights that she would come to.  She was a great dancer.  She was one of the best dressed girls that I ever knew.  She was fashionable from head to toe and not even a hair out of place.  She was extremely intellegent and her grades proved it.  The movie "Grease" pretrays much of our lives back then.  Your mother and I had lunch 2 months before she became ill and I didn't know what had happened to her until I talked with Donna Hotard.  Lois was very special and a dear friend of mine in a time of innocences. When I think of my friends from my younger years, she is definitely in that picture. When I learned of her passing, a bit of me went with her.  She was such a dynamic person.

Lois Ann and I went to church and Sunday School together many years ago and were school mates as well.  I pray that you will be comforted by wonderful memories and the knowledge that she is whole and rejoicing in Heaven.

She fought a tough hard battle and she wins with a perfect and whole after-life in Heaven.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.
