She married Delbert Smith on May 4, 1951, and together they raised 3 children.
Lola lived a life defined by grace, loyalty and a deep love for her family. She was married to Delbert at the young age of 19, and they shared 58 wonderful years of marriage, 3 children, and 3 grandchildren. Lola worked throughout her adult life as a secretary and bookkeeper, eventually retiring from AT&T after a lengthy career.
Lola was an avid reader of anything related to history, former Presidents, or murder mysteries. She also loved crocheting, crossword puzzles and sudoku. Above all else, Lola was firm in her faith, loved her family, and was incredibly proud of her 3 grandchildren.
As difficult as it is to say goodbye, we are taking comfort in knowing that she is in heaven and reunited with family and friends who have gone before her.
Lola is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, her husband Delbert Smith, daughter Anita Smith Wisemore, and son Roger Smith. She leaves behind her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Jennifer Smith (Omaha, NE) and her three grandchildren: Chloe (Jillian) Wardsmith (Kansas City, MO), Cooper Smith (Omaha, NE) and Colton Smith (Omaha, NE).
