Stephenson, Lola E (Trammell) was born June 6, 1922 and entered eternal life Oct. 3, 2012. She was the second child born to Roberdia and Jim McGhay. Her early years were spent with her family on farms near Rushville and Weston, MO. She graduated from Easton, KS, HS. During WWII Lola worked at Sunflower Ordinance in KS. At the end of the war, she married Bruce L. Trammell. They moved to KC where Lola was a homemaker, taught Sunday School, was a Camp Fire Leader, enjoyed selling Avon and being involved in the PTA as she reared her children. After the death of Bruce in 1965, she married George Stephenson and moved to CA for 33 years. During her years in CA, she enjoyed spending time with her two step sons and families; was active in her church, served on the board of Christian Women's Club and volunteered in various civic organizations. Lola was a woman of God who loved her role as wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was dearly loved by all who knew her, a wonderful contributor to life, and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, her brother, Donald and sister, Estella. Lola is survived by daughter, Sharon Fry, (Terry), Wichita, KS; son, Mark Trammell, (Cindi), Lone Jack, MO; son, James Stephenson, Lancaster, CA, and son John Stephenson, (Loura), Barstow, CA. Grandchildren, Kyle Trammell, Wes Trammell (Jenny), Lance Trammell; Phillip Stephenson and Elise Stephenson. Great grandchildren, Ashton, Gage, Mavrick and Brigham Trammell. Sisters, Isola Burdette; Edna Hale, and Sister-in-law, Marie McGhay; numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
