Loretta Comi Oldham, 91, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Tiffany Springs Care Center. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd. Kansas City, MO, where the service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Forest Hill\Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Loretta’s family requests donations to St. Luke’s Hospice House, 3516 Summit St., Kansas City, MO 64111.
Loretta was born on July 26, 1927 in Kansas City, Missouri to Frank and Edith (Sanders) Comi. Loretta met William Oldham on a blind date and they were married in 1950. She worked many years for Sentinel Federal Savings and Loan. She was a long-time member of the American Business Women’s Assoc. and received Woman of the Year in 1999. After retirement, she was a volunteer at St. Luke’s Hospital for the past 30 years and was Volunteer of the Year in 2017. She attended St. Mary’s Episcopal Church most of her life. Most recently, she attended Glenwood Park Methodist Church. Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Dodson Oldham, III, and two brothers, Frank Comi and Ben Comi. She is survived by her son, William (Chip) Oldham, IV of Kansas City, MO.
